Metallica Will Bring M72 to Texas in 2027 With Limp Bizkit and Avatar
The metal giants are sending their massive in-the-round production back into stadiums for another round.
Metallica are keeping the M72 World Tour alive with 12 newly announced North American stadium shows scheduled for spring 2027.
The run begins May 8 at BC Place in Vancouver and concludes June 19 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. Limp Bizkit and Avatar will open every show, rejoining Metallica after appearing on previous legs of the tour.
Texas receives two stops during the extension. Metallica will perform at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso on May 18 before heading to San Antonio's Alamodome on May 22.
Every stop on the 2027 run will be a one-night-only performance. Metallica will retain M72's signature in-the-round production, placing the stage at the center of each stadium with the Snake Pit positioned inside it for a complete 360-degree view.
The M72 World Tour launched in April 2023 in support of Metallica's album 72 Seasons. The band has since played 99 shows across 26 countries, drawing nearly five million fans. The 2027 dates will follow Metallica's Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, which concludes March 13.
Fan Club presales begin Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. local time, with additional presales running throughout the week. Tickets go on sale to the general public Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. local time.
A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will benefit local charities through Metallica's All Within My Hands foundation.
