Muse Lose @muse Handle as Meta Launches AI Tool of the Same Name
The British rock trio now have new usernames on social media following the arrival of Meta's namesake AI assistant.
The name Muse now belongs to more than one act online — and the British rock trio appear to have lost the best username in the process.
Ahead of the launch of Meta's new AI assistant, also called Muse, the band have moved away from the @muse handle they previously used across social media. Fans can now find them at @musetheband on X and @museband on Instagram, meaning the change is not limited to Meta-owned platforms.
The technology company describes its Muse as an all-purpose digital agent capable of managing emails, schedules, purchases, and payments. The human Muse did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
