Ozzfest will officially return to the United States in 2027, marking the influential metal festival's first American edition since 2018.

Organizers confirmed the expansion through Ozzfest's official social media accounts, sharing a teaser featuring Ozzy Osbourne, the festival's logo, and the flags of the United States and United Kingdom. The graphic carried a simple message: "Ozzfest will come to the UK and US."

The announcement follows confirmation that Ozzfest will also return to Villa Park in Birmingham, England. The stadium hosted Back to the Beginning on July 5, 2025, where Ozzy delivered his final solo performance and reunited with Black Sabbath for the band's farewell appearance.

Details surrounding the American event remain under wraps. Organizers have not announced its date, host city, venue, ticket information, or lineup. Jack Osbourne previously said that the revived festival would follow a one-day format, with its location and principal headliner expected to be revealed separately.

Jack also indicated that Ozzfest intends to preserve one of its original purposes by pairing major established acts with younger artists. Plans include reserving space for emerging talent and potentially offering a performance slot to an unsigned band.

Created by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in 1996, Ozzfest became one of the defining institutions of modern heavy music. Its stages helped introduce larger audiences to bands including Slipknot, System of a Down, Disturbed, and Lamb of God while bringing established names from across metal and hard rock together on the same bill.

The festival's original traveling American run ended in 2007, although Ozzfest returned for several limited engagements afterward. Its most recent U.S. edition was held at The Forum in Inglewood, California, on New Year's Eve 2018, with Ozzy headlining a lineup that also included Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Jonathan Davis, Body Count, and Zakk Sabbath.

The 2027 revival will begin a new chapter for Ozzfest without its namesake at the top of the bill, but with the Osbourne family overseeing its direction. Additional information about the U.S. location and lineup is expected to be announced soon.
