PRESIDENT Debuts 'dark heaven' Music Video
Following a rapid rise built on mystery and religious imagery, the masked collective turns its attention to the contradictions of faith.
PRESIDENT have released "dark heaven," the latest single from their forthcoming debut album, BLOOD OF YOUR EMPIRE.
The track examines the conflict between personal faith and the ways religion can be manipulated to justify division, violence and the pursuit of power. PRESIDENT said it reflects how greed can disguise itself as righteousness while questioning what remains when certainty begins to fall apart.
"It isn't an attack on belief itself," the band explained. "It's about searching for something real beneath the noise."
Musically, "dark heaven" moves from distorted electronics and 808-driven verses into detuned guitars, forceful percussion and a soaring chorus. The accompanying video brings a group of fans into a church and captures their reactions as they hear the song for the first time.
BLOOD OF YOUR EMPIRE will arrive September 4 through Atlantic Records. The album also features the previously released singles "Angel Wings," "DOOM LOOP," "Mercy" and "Dionysus."
PRESIDENT will support the release on their first North American headlining tour this fall with Cenobia and Showing Teeth. The 26-date run begins September 4 in Nashville, Tennessee, and concludes October 14 in Dallas, Texas, with 22 shows selling out within 24 hours of going on sale.
