**Taylor Momsen** has ruled out using artificial intelligence during her songwriting process, arguing that the technology cannot replace the emotions that drive her music.

During a new appearance on *Lipps Service With Scott Lipps*, the **Pretty Reckless** singer was asked whether she would ever consider using A.I. as a creative tool. Her answer was an emphatic no.

"A.I. can't emote for me," **Momsen** said. She explained that she writes songs because she has something she needs to express, process, or get off her chest. Allowing software to generate that material would remove the personal purpose behind creating it.

For **Momsen**, songwriting is not simply a way to produce a finished track. It is an emotional release and a method of making sense of her own experiences. She described having a computer create or express those feelings on her behalf as the opposite of genuine creativity.

The comments are consistent with **Momsen**'s longstanding approach to music. Earlier this year, she described herself as a songwriter first, calling the process a combination of confession, therapy, fear, and fulfillment. That intensely personal perspective also shaped the **Pretty Reckless**' fifth album, *Dear God*, which arrived in June.

Produced by **Momsen**, **Ben Phillips**, and **Jonathan Wyman**, *Dear God* explores grief, faith, resilience, and emotional survival. The band recently released a bonus version of "About You" featuring additional contributions from **Foo Fighters** members **Dave Grohl** and **Pat Smear**, while "When I Wake Up" became the group's ninth No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

Although **Momsen** acknowledged broader concerns surrounding artificial intelligence, she made it clear that its growing presence will not change how she writes. As far as her own music is concerned, the emotions, experiences, and words will continue to come from her.
