Mudvayne and HELLYEAH vocalist Chad Gray has canceled two performances on his "30 Years of Madnesss" solo tour as he deals with what he described as "deep vocal issues."

The affected shows were scheduled for Oct. 5 at House of Blues in San Diego and Oct. 6 at the Observatory OC in Santa Ana. Gray announced the cancellations after struggling through his Oct. 2 performance at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, where an illness compounded the vocal problems he was already experiencing.

"I need to take some time to rest so I can protect my voice, my health, and hopefully keep this tour going," Gray told fans.

Gray apologized to fans in both cities and said he hopes to return for replacement performances. No rescheduled dates have been announced.

Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will be refunded automatically. Fans who bought tickets through a third-party reseller must contact their original point of purchase. Meet-and-greet packages may be transferred to Gray's Oct. 7 performance at Fremont Country Club in Las Vegas or reimbursed for fans unable to attend.

The "30 Years of Madnesss" tour marks Gray's first solo run and combines material from both Mudvayne and HELLYEAH. His backing band features guitarists Marcus Rafferty and Joe Bonasorte, bassist Nick Villarreal, and drummer Devin Attard. Butcher Babies and Devil's Cut are supporting the fall dates.

At the time of Gray's announcement, the Las Vegas show and the remaining tour dates had not been canceled.
